The Gallery

Introduction
The Gallery is a new home, constructed at the southern end of Palm Beach. The house was designed to nestle into the cliff face and to reference the textures of the landscape. The material palette was chosen to provide detail and texture, and to ground the building in its landscape.
The brief was to create a modern home, that was warm and livable, with an understated luxury to reflect the beach location. The home was also to be a backdrop to a varied and changing collection of art pieces.
Key to achieving this was creating contrast through the use of stone and wood on the floors, walls and ceilings, which were inspired by the home’s natural setting. The overall internal palette was kept neutral, to allow the art pieces to be the key elements of the spaces.
The landscaping features lush tropical elements on a grand scale, as well as screening plants for privacy. The design features broad terraces and lawn that feel as though they are part of the beach, as well as courtyards that tuck back into the landscaping to provide private outdoor retreats with dappled sun and views.
