Beagle Farm
01
Introduction
When you think of a homestead in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Beagle Farm is just that. The long avenue driveway winds through expansive grassed paddocks, to beautifully landscaped lawns surrounding a sprawling homestead.
The original homestead features wrap around covered verandahs, beautifully rendered brick walls and traditional corrugated iron roofing. Tall chimney stacks punctuate the long roof lines.
The homestead has been renovated to create new large format family living spaces, which open onto a broader northern verandah with a large outdoor fire.
The new kitchen very much expresses its country location and features a large Butler’s Pantry with wine store. On the northern verandah, off the kitchen, is a large BBQ island bench which provides opportunity for friends to gather around while preparing a country lunch and watch kids playing on the lawn and tennis court beyond.
