On Friday 13th September, members of the Cadence & Co team participated in the Property Industry Foundation Tour De PIF raising money for Homeless Youth. Our team was one of over fifty teams that participated in the event which featured a choice of a 100km cycle, 60km cycle, 35km cycle, Half Marathon, 10km run or 10km walk on a variety of challenging routes from the hilly terrains of Terrey Hills through to the picturesque Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
Our team did exceptional overall and achieved some impressive results.
Danny Vise came 14th out of 121 participants in the 100km cycle event completing the race in 3 hours and 24 minutes.
Jamie Lonie finished not far behind, 58th out of 121 participants completing the 100km cycling event in 3 hours and 50 minutes.
Paul Galliford participated in his first ever Half Marathon running 21km.
John Yeomans excelled in the 10km run & finished 3rd out of 160 participants and Rebecca Lyons completed it in 1 hour and 20minutes.
Chelsea Dawson, Katie Mulligan, Lauren Schauer, Leigh Bigelow, Gemma Hughes, and Stephen Fabling completed the 10km walk which took them across the hilly suburban streets of Terrey Hills and beyond.
Overall, the Tour De PIF was the most successful fundraising event they have held over the past 15 years, raising over $300,000 for Homeless Youth. A fantastic result for a very worthy cause.
